Patriot Caps started because I couldn't find a decent Australian flag cap. Everything out there was either cheap tourist stock or too loud to wear twice.
I served in the Australian Army, deployed to Afghanistan. I run the business from Diamond Creek: I design the caps, heat press every design myself, and pack every order. The embroidery is done by another Australian business, because keeping that work local matters to us. If you message us, you're talking to me.
- Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry
- Reshape while damp and air dry naturally
- Do not bleach or dry clean
- Do not iron directly on the embroidery
Named for the Australians who built this country
Quietly. Without fanfare. With nothing but grit and pride.
On a real head, in real light

This is the cap you keep for years.
Decorated in Australia by Australian tradespeople. Workmanship guaranteed. And 5% of every sale goes to Swiss 8. You are buying two things.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 means the fabric has been tested and came back free of harmful chemicals. amfori BSCI means the factory is independently audited for fair pay and safe working conditions.

It's tonal. On purpose.
The flag is embroidered in thread the same colour as the cap. From across the room it reads as texture. Up close you can see every stitch. The Union Jack, the Commonwealth star, all five stars of the Southern Cross.
If you're after a full-colour flag, this isn't it. That's the whole idea. It's the difference between wearing your country and shouting about it.
One size, dialled in
Fit is the thing customers mention more than anything else, and it's the thing you can't check through a screen. So here's everything.

Still not sure? Buy it, try it on, send it back within 30 days if it's not right.

The honest answer
The blanks are made in Asia. Every bit of decoration and finishing is done here by Australian tradespeople. The Pioneer's flag is embroidered by another Australian business, and everything is checked and packed in Victoria.
Australia barely has a textile industry left. Even the Olympic uniform is made offshore. So we're honest about it, we keep every dollar of the work we can here, to support Australian Businesses.
Six things you can't see in a photo

Take your pick
Black is the quietest. Tonal black on black, you have to be close to see it. Bone and Storm show the stitch most.
Every order ships like this
Boxed, wrapped, and a thank-you card in with it. Packed by hand in Victoria, out the door in 1–2 business days.

5% of every sale goes to Swiss 8
Swiss 8 was started by Afghanistan veterans. Free, practical mental-health tools for Australian veterans. Training, nutrition, sleep, routine. Over 2,000 supported, and they're building NinGula Homestead now.
I got out of the Army in 2012. It took another fourteen years before I started this. What stayed with me was the way Australians pull together when it counts, and wanting more of that back home. That is why Patriot Caps exists.
5% of every sale. Not profit.
